On April 12, 2026, the Renegades took part in the first ever exhibition game at Fenway park. Over 650 fans showed up to show support and cheer on the two teams. The Renegades want to acknowledge and thank the Fenway Sports Management SAND (Sensory, Ambulatory, and Neurodiversity) Network for their efforts in getting this game scheduled and for opening up the stadium to allow this game to be played.
The Red Sox opened up the gates just for this event. They staffed the security, PR teams, grounds crew and more to support the afternoon. They opened their arms to us and welcomed us on to the field to play our adaptive form of baseball.
Some quick research found this may have been the first ever game between two blind teams on an MLB field in the NBBA history.
The rules of the game were modified to allow participation. Instead of batting a lineup of six players, each team batted it’s whole roster. As the league celebrates 50 years, this may have been one of the top 5 largest turnouts to ever watch an NBBA game. We caught the action on our live stream!
