For just the 4th time in our 20 year history, the Beast of the East will be returning to the Boston area on Friday, August 27th & Saturday, August 28th. With the help of the Woburn Host Lions, we will be hosting teams from the East Coast in a three team tournament to crown the 2021 Champion.

The Boston Renegades, Philly Fire, and Long Island Bombers, will face off in a 2 day event in the Boston area. The tentative schedule looks like this:
Friday, August 27 at 110 Arlington Street, Watertown Mass – Fillipello Park
- 7:00pm BOS vs LI
Saturday, August 28 at 55 Locust Street Woburn, MA – Joyce Middle School
- 8:30 AM BOS vs LI
- 10:45 AM LI vs PHI
- 1:00 PM PHI vs BOS
- 3:00 PM PHI vs BOS
We need volunteers for Saturday in Woburn to take a two game shift (morning from 8:00am-12:45PM) and afternoon (12:30pm-5pm). We also need a few people to help with one game (6:30-9:15) on Friday night, August 27th in Watertown. Training will be provided. Roles we need help with include:
- Base umpires: (stand by our bases, set them up when they fall. Help alert the home plate umpire when a player reaches the base).
- Base switch operators: (sit on a chair in the shade. Control a switch that turns the bases on and off).
- Field umpires: (stand in the field. Help the home plate umpire determine if a player has possession of the ball).
- Home plate umpires: (Take control of the game. Have the final say on who is safe and have knowledge of umpiring and the rules of the sport).
